At the heart of true mysteries, we sense some deeply human connection. Even when we get closer to it, a genuine enigma denies to be reduced into mere interpretation. We need to have some kind of intuition to work with it — and that's enough. It doesn't need to mature into certainty: if understanding has eliminated the mystery, there's a problem.
